On October 5th thru the 7th in Nashville, Tennessee, SHOUTAmerica hosted its inaugural Healthcare Leadership Conference. The event brought together student government leaders, representing colleges and universities from across the country. Conference participants spent three days learning about American healthcare from a wealth of healthcare experts and developed ways for the youth to get involved in the cause of profound healthcare reform. In October, SHOUTAmerica announced our partnership with change:healthcare, a new and innovative company focused on driving transparency throughout the healthcare industry. This partnership led to the development of the SHOUTAmerica healthcare cost manager, a new tool that allows you to evaluate and track your healthcare expenditures. The natural relationship between SHOUTAmerica and change:healthcare is centered on the pursuit of helping you make more informed decisions regarding your healthcare expenditures, which in turn saves you money. The more democratic information is regarding our healthcare, the better able we are to make responsible choices regarding our healthcare and thus, be a part of the solution.

The day for the launch of SHOUTAmerica’s website has come at last and with it we can record what we hope is only the first in a long line of successes.  No longer is SHOUTAmerica just an idea, as today our mission and movement to empower the voices of a new generation of Americans has become a reality.  With this website, we are almost ready to begin our journey down the long road to sustainable healthcare reform.  We just need one more thing - you.  Our greatest asset will be your voice and our greatest strength will be in the number of you that join our cause.  This initial launch of our website is only the first phase of the movement and we ask you to keep an eye out for updates and the many new things to come.  Our future starts today.
