Clayton McWhorter

Mr. McWhorter has over 50 years of experience as a leader in the healthcare industry, giving him a unique perspective on the system and its future. He currently serves as the Chairman of the private equity firm, Clayton Associates, located in Nashville, Tennessee and in the past has held top executive positions for multiple successful nationwide healthcare companies including, Hospital Corporation of America and HealthTrust Inc. Most recently, Mr. McWhorter lent his vision, resources and a blank whiteboard to a handful of young individuals and tasked them with creating an organization that would educate and energize the future of America on the need for healthcare reform. His understanding of the profound problems facing healthcare and his commitment to empowering young Americans have guided the founding of this organization and are at the heart of SHOUTAmerica’s mission.
Landon Gibbs
Executive Director and Co-Founder
While heading up healthcare initiatives at Clayton Associates, Landon assisted in the conceptualization of SHOUTAmerica and upon its founding was named Executive Director of the organization. Before returning home to Nashville, Landon worked in the White House as Deputy Associate Director of the Office of the Counsel to the President. Prior to that, he served as a special assistant to United States Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta. Landon is a native of Ashland City, Tennessee and holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University in Economics and Political Science.
Brent Parton
Associate
Brent, a native of Santa Rosa, California, first came to Clayton Associates as an intern in May 2008 and became immediately involved in the project that would soon become SHOUTAmerica. Before coming on board, Brent spent the previous year teaching English in Shenzhen, China. He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in History and European Studies and is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Policy from Vanderbilt as well.
