Think Tank: How it Works

The Think Tank gives SHOUTAmerica members a place to create ideas about how to fix our healthcare crisis, vote for the best ideas, and work together to bring action to our cause.

It’s simple: got an idea about how people, businesses, or government can work together to make positive change on our broken healthcare system? Explain your idea.

Other users will then vote on your Idea, and you should vote on other Ideas too. You can also make comments and suggestions on Ideas, and people can make comments or suggestions on yours, too. If you create an Idea, don’t be afraid to interact with other members – ask for their feedback, answer their questions. SHOUTAmerica is a community because we believe the best ideas come out of collaboration.

Once an Idea receives 500 points (each vote is worth 10 points), it is promoted to a “Leading Idea” status, and the creator of that Idea is deemed a “Thought Leader” in honor of their great idea. Thought Leaders get bragging rights, access to a unique badge on the Downloads Page, and may later be invited by SHOUTAmerica to help further our cause.

And Thought Leaders get the ability to turn their Ideas into Projects – this is where you take that original flash of brilliance and run with it. Projects remove the limits to the amount of content you can create or how often you can edit it. Projects even give you the ability to add multimedia, documents, and external links to your idea.

We’ll have healthcare experts frequently looking around in the Think Tank to see what our community is coming up with and help make suggestions on your contributions!
